What is ‘gay’? Is it something bad? Is it an insult? If it is none of these then why are people treating it like it is bad or insulting, when all it is, is when two people love each other. Why when a man and a woman fall in love they are lots of ‘congratulations’ and ‘well done.’ But when two men or two woman fall in love there are lots of ‘ew!’ and ‘gross!’ This is extremely unfair! No matter whether you’re gay or straight you have the right to love whoever you like!
Gay is not bad so it should not be treated like it is. You cannot help being gay or straight so just be who you are. If somebody does not like your sexuality, just remember you are who you are and you are in titled to your own opinions and feelings. Others are also allowed to have their own opinions but never forget that you have your on as well! You are you and no one can change that! Australia has not yet realised that they are completely wrong when saying being gay is bad. Because it sure is not!

“I know I can do better than her because she is a girl.” This is what I hear every time I set foot in a skate park. They laugh at us when we fall but scream in pain when they do. Why does this happen? It’s not just the skate park I see or hear this. Although it has died down sexism is still a huge problem that really needs to stop!
I want my voice to be heard but you won’t be able to hear it through all the loud voices of men abusing woman. If there were no women there would be no people. So why are woman treated so badly when they are not doing anything wrong. Why do girls have to be afraid to walk alone at night when men are able to walk around carelessly whenever they would like too? We are all equals so why are men treating women like they’re not important or like they have no place in this the world. Equality is what matters to me. It does not matter whether you’re black, brown, white, pink, orange, green, blue, yellow, male or female we all have red blood and beating hearts. Your blood colour or blood type does not matter. So why should people care have what colour or gender you are. When we are all the same on the inside. I want to know what makes people act in such a disgusting way! I want to know why woman are treated so differently when on the inside they are the exact same. Woman still have as many feelings as men so they shouldn’t be treated like they have none at all. Lots and lots of people are being abused while we are just standing around and doing nothing about it. I know I am only young but I believe that if you set your mind to it and try your very best anyone at any age can make a difference to this world. Woman can do the same as men. A good example is Marie curie. She became the first woman professor of general sciences in the faculty of science at the University of Paris in 1906. She had a master’s degrees in both science and mathematical sciences and was also the first woman to obtain a science degree. Any woman can be just like Marie curie we just need to try! This is what really matters to me. If you read my “about me” you would know I like reading Harry Potter so today I will be doing a book report on one of the books. Please enjoy!
Book report: Harry Potter and the prisoner of Azkaban. Book 3/7. What is it about: the book is mainly about Sirius Black. Sirius Black was known as a murderer for 13 years and because of that was sent to a wizard jail called Azkaban. Everybody became very scared when one day he escaped. They feared for harry that he would come and try to kill him. At the very end there is a twist that I found interesting. Why do you like it? I like the book because you never know what is going to come next and the amount of detail JK. Rowling puts in it. I also like how when I read the book it made me feel like everything was real and magical. What is your favourite part? My favourite part is when they find Sirius Black because you don’t know what is going to happen and it’s really exciting. I give this book 5 stars. Thank you for reading! |
